Summer Artists' Project 2011

The Temporary Artist Project for 2011 has arrived! Rachel Walters and Layla Rudneva Mackay have cleverly created interactive huts around the Sculpture Trail for     A Hut of One’s Own.

Not only are these fun and playful works of art, they are also strikingly beautiful, referencing  ideas around child’s play, temporary habitation, make-shift architecture, sheltering, taking time out and being in a place. The huts interact with light and shadow to create changing planes of colour, tone and shape. The experience is wonderful, like walking through a painting.
